BACKGROUND & PERSONALITY

Amelia's mother passed away suddenly due to an unexpected illness. Unfortunately, her father has been away for over a year on a merchant ship seeking fortune, leaving Amelia without family or friends to turn to.

Forced to survive on her own, she takes to the streets and resorts to theft. After being caught during one of her petty thefts, Amelia is taken in as an orphan and sent to live in a convent run by nuns.

Due to new hospice and orphanage laws, and the extreme poverty of the time, Amelia is forced to remain with the nuns and begin life as a future nun herself. However, Amelia is certain that her father is still alive and will not abandon her.

After a couple of years, a group of nuns embarks on a pilgrimage to a religious retreat at a monastery in the Pyrenees, and Amelia travels with them.

It is there that she meets the other protagonists, and in them, she sees an opportunity to escape her caretakers and search for her father.

However, Amelia is still a vulnerable child, and her experiences in the depths of poverty have left her with powerful childhood fears.

ROLE IN THE GROUP

Although physically weak, Amelia is a valuable member of the group.

She has the largest inventory capacity among all the characters. Her small size, speed, and agility allow her to move undetected, turning any small gap into a hiding spot and accessing hidden places in the monastery. From these vantage points, she can unlock entrances for her companions. Her life on the streets has taught her how to survive through cunning and theft, allowing her to steal valuable items from others to aid in their escape plan.

As a young girl, Amelia is treated more gently by the guards, who are more lenient and less violent with her than they are with the other protagonists. The player can use this to their advantage.

Finally, thanks to Amelia, the group can temporarily escape their cell at night to explore the monastery without the presence of the watchmen. What mysteries does the monastery hold after nightfall?

SKILLS

FIELD SKILLS

A clever child who uses her size and wit to outsmart adults.

Amelia’s small frame lets her slip through fences, crawl through tunnels, and hide in places others can’t. She uses pickpocketing to gather resources and tricks adults into chasing her with harmless mockery, avoiding suspicion.

Guards hesitate to harm her, but nuns and friars show no mercy if they catch her misbehaving.

NIGHT SKILLS

A playful spirit with a knack for trouble.

At night, Amelia lifts the group’s spirits by playing games, steals valuable supplies from storerooms, or sabotages weapons to keep soldiers from shooting the next day.

DISORDERS

Childhood fears that twist her perception of reality.

Amelia is terrified of the monastery’s gargoyles and tapestries, which erode her sanity when she looks too closely.

At night, her imagination turns guards into monstrous creatures, making her fear even walking near them.
